The annual Michelin restaurant star awards were announced late November 2009 and Spain now has one more three-star restaurant, four more two-star restaurants and sixteen more one-star restaurants.
The Spanish chef Joan Roca from the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca in Girona has received a third star from the Michelin Spain and Portugal Guide 2010. The Catalan chef was presented with the award in Madrid.
